New Moon in Taurus Conjunct the Seven Sisters: Harmony

This New Moon in Taurus is quietly powerful. The Sun and the Moon are at 28 degrees of Taurus conjunct Alcyone, the Pleiades--those Seven Sisters, Pakone-Kisik, the hole in the sky. This is a point I understand to be connected deeply with Indigenous knowledge, as it is said that this is where Sky Woman came from, the realm of the Star People, who are said to live in harmony there. I can feel the peace coming from that hole in the sky... this is a magical New Moon where breaths reach us from a place of peace, stillness and silence--a place where harmony is born out of deep embodiment, out of being in touch with the value of the real, the tangible, the spirit which moves in all things.

Take some quiet time if you can around this New Moon to really connect with the beauty of being alive at this time on this planet. To connect with the teachings which can bring more awareness of our sacredness and of the sacredness of the Earth. It's no coincidence that the Seven Sisters is from 28 Taurus to 0 Gemini--the thing I wanted to write about before I realized this New Moon was conjunct them, was just about honouring the Earth.

The Aninshnaabek are people who hold deep wisdom and teachings about the power and intrinsic harmony of the ways of the Earth. These teachings and this knowledge gives us the kind of strength and resilience, gentleness and sensitivity that we need to really honour the Earth and make the most of our time here, doing what is good for the land and for our own bodies and for each other.

Taurus is about values--what are you spending your precious time on? Where are you directing your body?

Taurus is also about bodies--is your body telling you something now? Listen, get really into your body, slow right down and feel the preciousness of your sensate form.. all the wisdom in simplicity.

Taurus is also about the Earth--what are the feelings, what are the motions, of the Earth around you? What is it teaching you, and what does it need from you?
